Archolia Chapter 76 - The Merchant & Knight

Percival walks toward the castle searching for Knight-Captain Ivan.  He will need a best man and so far, Ivan is the only person he has some-what connected with.
He hopes to find Ivan at the castle.
Ivan is not yet someone he would call a friend, so Percival takes some time to get to know him better.  After a few days, he will ask Ivan to be his best man. “Hello again Sir Ivan.  I had some great news that I wanted to share with you!”
“Hi…um…Percival is it?  What is your good news?”

Percival is a little thrown off  that Ivan barely remembers his name.  “I…I am getting married.”
Ivan smiles.  “That is good news!  Who is the lucky lady?”

“Ah, there she is now,” Percival answers.
Ivan excuses himself to allow Percival and Felicia time to talk, “Hello Percival,” Felicia greets him with a genuine smile on her face.
Percival, feeling silly, greets her with a silly face.  She laughs, relieved that he has a sense of humor.
She returns his silly face with one of her own.
“I am now a member of the Peteran faith,” Percival announces.

This news puts another smile on Felicia’s face.  She is happy to know that Percival is willing to make an effort to really listen to her needs and wants.  She is slowly warming up to this whole marriage idea.
Inside the castle, Ivan searches until he finds Chalyela in the banquet room.  “Hello there my beautiful queen,” he greets her grabbing her in his arms.
Chalyela does not have time to respond before Ivan’s lips are on hers.
After their brief moment together, the two of them join the others who are enjoying the music of the jester.
Back outside, Percival grabs Felicia’s hands.  “I must get back to the market,” he says softly.
He leaves Felicia standing in front of the castle and heads for home.
“Percival!”  He hears a voice call behind him.  He turns and sees that it is Felicia.

“I just thought that if we are to be married, it would be more appropriate for you to kiss your future wife goodnight,” Felicia says before leaning in and kissing Percival softly on the lips.
They are both surprised at the passion they actually have for each other as they continue kissing under the stars.
“Wow!  I did not expect that,” Percival says out of breathe.
“I think that I can learn to love you,” Felicia whispers in Percival’s ear.
“Same here.  I have indeed made a fine choice in a future mate.”
They say their good nights and each go their separate ways.  Percival is pleased that Felicia is beginning to take a liking to him.  He is sure that theirs will be a good marriage.
